Edison a day or two ago, and the two eminent inventors had a talk over the posibilities of aerial navi gation. Mr. Edison told the Bra zilian that he was proceeding on the right line, but before he achiev ed success he would have to get rid of the balloon features of the machine. ‘‘Keep reducing the balloon bag,” said Mr. Edison, “until it becomes so small that a searcher couldn’t find it with a microscope, and the problem will qe settled and aerial navigation commercially assured.” Mr. Edi son says the successful flying ma chine must be elevated and propell ed by its own power, and not taken up by a fluid lighter than air. That is what Prof. Langley of the Smithsonian Institution also says of the matter. The profit of a gold mine de pends, not on the amount of rock crushed under the stamps but upon the amount of gold which can be extracted from the rock. In a simular way the value of the food which is eaten does not depend on the quantity which is taken into the stomach but upon'the amount of nourishment extracted from it by the organs of neutrition and digestion. When these organs are diseased they fail to extract the nourishment in sufficient quanti ties to supply the needs of the sev eral organs of the body, and these organs cannot work without nour ishment. The result is heart “trouble.”’ liver “trouble,” and many other ailments. Dr. Pierce’s Golden Medical Discovery, acting on every organ of the digestive nutritive system, restored it to health and vigor. It cures dis eases remote from the stomach through the stomach in which they originated. “Golden Medi cal Discovery” contains neither alcohol nor narcotics.
