A young couple hud been mar

A few weeks later the man came
to the minister, boiling over with
rage, having found his wife a reg

“1 thought you said I was at
the end of my troubles?”
“So 1 did, my friend, but 1 did
not say which end,” replied the
Quaker.

VERY REMARKABLE CURE OF
DIARRHOEA.
“About six years ago for the first
time in my life I had a sudden and se
vere attack of diarrhoea. - ’ says Mrs.
Alice Miller, of Morgan, Texas. “I
got temporary relief, but it came back
again, and for six long years I have
suffered more misery and agony than
I can tell. It was worse than death.
My husband spent hundreds of dollars
for physicians’ prescriptions and treat
ment without avail. Finally we moved
to Bosque county, our present home,
and one day 1 happened to see an ad
vertisement of Chamberlain’s Colic,
Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy with
a testimonial of a man who had been
cured by it. The case was so similar
to my own that I concluded to try the
remedy. The result was wonderful.
Icould hardly realize that I was well
again, or believe it could be so after
having suffered so long, but that one
bottle of medicine, costing but a few
cents, cured me.” For sale by J. H.

A Woman's Age.
“And what is your age, madam?’
was the attorney’s question.
“My own,” she answered
promptly.
“I understand that, madam; I
mean how old are you?”
“I am not old, sir,” with indig
nation.
“1 beg your pardon, madam, 1
mean how many years have you
. passed?”
“None; the years have passed
me. ”
“How many of them have pass
you?”
“All: 1 have never hoard of
their stopping.”
“Madam, vou must answer my
question; I want to know your
age?”
“1 don’t know that the acquaint
ance is desired by the other side.”
“1 don’t see why you insist upon
refusing to answer my question.”
said the attorney, coaxingly. “1
am sure 1 could tell you how old
I was if 1 were asked.’’
“Kut nobody would ask you,
: for everybody knows you are old
enough to know better than to be
asking a woman her age.”
And the attorney passed on to
the next quest ion.
