THE TWENTIETH CENTURY COUNTRY WEEKLY-
BARNE3VILLE, GA., THURSDAY, AUGUST 13. 1903.
STOCKHOLDERS
HELD MEETING.
Wll.li MEET AO\lN NEXT MON
I’AY, AUGUST 17, TO TAKE
DEFINITE STKI’S ABOUT
PROPKKTY.
The stockholders of the Bnrnes
ville Manufacturing Cos. held a
meeting at the City Hall last
Friday with regard to getting their
property in shape. Nothing of
importance transpired at this
meeting and another meeting has
been set for Monday August 17.
It is confidently expected by the
attorneys for the stockholders
that the Supreme court will hand
down its decision dismissing the
receivship of the mill the latter
part of the week. The following
letter has been mailed to each of
the stockholders.
“By order of the directors and
stockholders, a meeting of the
Baruesville Mf’g Cos., is called
for Monday, August 17, 1903, at
10 o’clock a. m. at this place, for
the purpose of arranging to start
the Mill in operation and other
business that may come up. It is
up to the stockholders to either
save their property or let it get
into the Courts again and be sold,
in which event they would get
nothing. The crisis is on us, it
can’t be postponed longer, and
whether the mill will be saved or
lost will depend on the meeting of
August 17. This will be our last
chance, and everything depends
on what that meeting will do. If
you never attended a meeting be
fore, attend this one.”
Signed by the president.
