Lifsey Will go to Penn
Mutual.
Messrs. Bngley and willet, of
Atlanta, gene r al agents of the
Fen Mutual Life Insurance Com
pany, are fortunate in having se
cured fche services of VV. V. Lifsey
as manager of their city depart
ment with headquarters in Atlan
ta. This is a new' departure with
the Penn Mutual, the position
having been created as the result
of an extensive increase in the
company's business, which has
necessitated a large addition to its
working force in Georgia.
Mr. Lifsey is a Georgian, a na
tive of Barnesville, and has
friends all over this state as well
*x,in other slates of the south, ac
qwKeu as the result of a long and
faithful term of service first with
the old East Tennessee, Virginia
and Georgia, and afterwards with
the Plant system of railways,
since absorbed by the Atlantic
Afoast Line. Mr. Lifsey repre
sented the passenger departments
YEM Jhese systems in Tennessee,
Florida, and Alabama at
n karious times, and his activity and
energy brought large volumes of
to the companies he serv
ed. For the past year he has
sr <*ld a responsible position with
consolidated street railways
Cincinnati, which he recently
kdFßigned to enter the life insur
"urnce business, which he considers
and more inviting field.
J * Mr. Lifsey’s wide experience as
fa passenger agent with various
Wlroad systems, admirably qual
ifies him for the new work he has
ti ■ l ~rr” up. As manager of the city
department of the Penn Mutual,
I‘s territory will by no means be
ilaifined to Atlanta, but will ex
wiad over a wide southern field,
Aid to this work he will bring the
time activity, energy and fidelity
iJat have characterized his servi

Messrs. H. G. Jordan & Sons
are improving their drug store by
some changes that are being made
in the arrangement of the rear.
They* have run a row of glass
