LAMONT NOTES
The Orphan’s Home collection
amounted to twenty dollars at Pros
pect Sunday, which was considered
a very liberal offering considering
the congregation. Brother Tram
mell preached an interesting sermon
from the text, “There is not such
faith, no, not in Israel.”
The Fourth Quarterly Conference
will be held at Prospect at next ap
pointment, November sth, and the
officials of the church require those
that have not contributed to the par
son and other collections to come
forward and do so, in order to
square up the year’s work.
The Epworth League meets at Mr.
J. T. Means’ next Sunday night, and
a large crowd is expected to be pres
ent.
There will be a singing at Mr.
Will Adams’ next Saturday night.
Mr. Johnnie G. Sappington doesn’t
visit over our way much on Sunday
nights since he joined the B. Y. P.
U. at Antioch.
Mr. S. E. Sappington has been se
lected by the ladies of Redbone dis
trict as being the ugliest man to rep
resent them in the County Day at
the Fair, and Miss Ruth Keadle has
been selected as being the prettiest
girl.
I was down at Messrs. G. W. Pip
pins & Sons’ farm the other day and
I noticed they had some fine thor
ough bred Poland China sows and
pigs and they might sell any one a
pig, and 1 further noticed that they
were preparing a very nice exhibit
for the Fair.

We regret very much to hear of
Mr. Otis Ingram of Colliers getting

To Gain a Good Reputation.
“The way to gain a good reputa
tion is to endeavor to be what you
appear.” That is precisely the man
ner in which Chamberlain’s Cough
Remedy has gained its reputation as
a cure for coughs, colds, croup and
whooping cough. Every bottle that
has ever been put out by the manu
facturers has been fully up to the
high standard of excellence claimed
fo rit. People have found that it can
be depended upon for the relief and
cure of these ailments and that it is
pleasant and safe to take.
In Persia the umbrella is still an
