THAT MORNINGIaMENESS
v If you are lame every morning,
and suffer urinary ills, there must be
a cause. Often it’s weak kidneys.
To strengthen the weakened kidneys
and avert more serious troubles, use
Doan’s Kidney Pills. You can rely
on Bamesville testimony.
R. L. Shockley, prop, draying busi
ness, 130 Atlanta St., Bamesville,
says: “I was having a lot of trouble
with sharp pains that shot through
my back. When I stooped or got in
an unusual position, a terrible pain
shot through me. Mornings I was
lame across my back and shoulders
and my back was weak. There was
a constant dull ache across my kid
neys and my kidneys acted too free
ly. Doan’s Kidney Pills, bought at
the City Drug Store, put me in fine
condition. The pains left my back
and my kidneys became normal in
action.”
Price 60c, at all dealers. Don’t
simply ask for a kidney remedy

that Mr. Shockley had. Foster-Mil

each seems to express youthful grace and artistic refinement.

WORDS OF APPRECIATION IN
BEHALF OF COLORED PEOPLE
Editor News-Gazette: Through
the columns of the News-Gazette I
wish to extend a word of sincerest
thanks to all the white citizens of
Barnesville and Lamar county for the
splendid support and many, many
words of encourugement and ap
proval they gave to the colored peo
ple during last week’s fair.
I believe that this opportunity for
out- people to bring out their best
products, to be seen and scrutinized
by the best white people, not only
of Lamar, but of all the adjoining
counties, has had a very wholesome
effect on the entire community.
Many very kind things were said to
me in praise of my work as Colored
Demonstrator, by scores of white la
dies and gentlemen. I again want<
to thank them, with the promise to
try to live up to the high estimate
they so generously placed upon my
work.
Most especially, do 1 wish to in
this public manner on behalf of all
the colored people of the communi
ty, say to Mrs. Clary, Mr. Cliett and
Mrs. Wood of Athens, for the deep
interest they took in this our first
effort as exhibitors —we thank you.
I feel also, Mr. Editor, that the
public ought to know some of the
colored people who either loaned ma
terials or gave generously of their
time to help enstall the exhibits:
Mrs. Cobb loaned all the lumber that
was used for tables. Space will not
permit details, hut the following
helped in this way: Mrs. E. W.
O'Neal, Mary Gilmer, Martha Tay
lor, Misses Fannie Maud and Elnora
Settles, Jessie Holloway, Tim Hollo
way, John Pounds, Westley Brady,
John Clark, Ed Fletcher, West Lind
say, and Prof. Thweatt, and many
others.
S. H. LEE,
Local Demonstration Agent.
