In 1936 our local library was made
a unit of the State-Wide W. P. A. •
Library Project under the sponsorship
of the Georgia Library Commission.:
Since that time our Co-sponsors have
made it possible for the local WPA
Library, to offer, each summer, to the
boys and girls the privilege of parti
cipating in this reading course and
winning certificates.
Many have expressed their appre
ciation of the value of work done and
benefits received by the school child
ren. One of the main functions of a
library is to aid school children in
every way possible.

its sale.,
They have asked that the Anti Sa

his whole time to the organization of
the cause for temperance. Dr. At
ticus Webb has already been assigned
1 to that work and is now on the job.
Arrangements have been made for
‘ a gounty-wide public rally of all those
’ opposed to the legal sale of liquor and
' the roadhousg gnd th? saloon to be
held at The Methodist Church. Thurs
