A RESOLUTION
At the regular meeting of the Don
alsonville Lions Club held at the
Minter House on Tuesday, Decembet
2, 1941, the following resolution of
respect was adopted due to the death
of one of the Club's most loved and
respected honorary members, Dr.
Thomas Chason:
WHEREAS. God in His Infinite
-wisdom has seen fit to remove from
our midst a true man , a friend to
the friendless, and’ one who gave a
human touch to all of his dealings
with his fellowman.. Dr. Thomas Cha
son; and

The Civil Service Board of the Unit
ed States announce the following ex
aminations.
Senior Electrician, $1,860 a year,
and Electrician, $1,680 a year for ap
pointment in Washington. D. C. and
immediate vicinity only. Applicants
must completed a four year
apprenticeship in tthe trade or have
had 4 years-of practical experience,
the substantial equivalent of a com
pleted apprenticeship. For the senior
grade,they must have had at least 1
year of journeyman experience. Appli
cations must be filed not later than
January 8. 1042.
Office Appliance Repairman, $1,680
a year, for appointment in Washing
ton, D. C. and vicinity only. Appli
cants must show that they have had,
within the last 10 years, at least 3

Federal Loan
Association
Declares Dividend
The directors of the Donalsonville
Federal Savings and Loan Association ,
i held their regular monthly meeting
. recently and declared the usual semi
i annual dividend of 2 per cent which
i
' will be paid in January. A similar di
vidend of 2 per cent was paid in July
of this year.
The association js now five years
old, and has total loans in this coun
ty amounting to more than $70,000.
, An annual dividend of 4 per cent has
been paid since the association was
* organized.
Officers of the association are L. R.
Robinson, president, Ellison Dunn,
vice president, E. P. Stapleton, secre
tary-treasurer.. Directors in addition

Last Sunday at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. R. A. Williams of iron City the
family celebrated the birthdays of Mr.
R. A. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
. Williams and little Lamar Waddell.
All four birthdays came within a
