Motorists Warned
Os New Speed Law
N. P. Malcolm, chairman of the
Seminole County Rationing Board an
nounced this week that he had re
ceived instructions from the OPM to
issue a candid warning to all motor
ists that the speed limit has been set
at 35 miles per hour and that serious
penalties are in store for those found
exceeding this limit.
State Patrolmen, Sheriffs and Po
licemen are being drafted to watch
for violators and fines for offenders
will be assessed. In addition the lo
cal rationing boards will be advised
and they in turn will refuse to issue
gasoline allowances, tire or tube ra
tions to the offenders.
The public should bear this in mind
when travelling in cars or trucks and
stay within the limits, else they will
risk being retired to the life of a pe
destrian for the duration.

Veneral Diseases
Cause For Concern
The Georgia Department of Health
is asking the public to face the facts
regarding our number one health
problem—veneral diseases. We must
no longer hide our head, like the os
trich, blinding ourselves to danger.
False pride, false modesty and pre
judice are being overcome. Taboos are
lifted. We may now discuss syphillis
and gonorrhea as freely as we dis
cuss typhoid fever or tuberculosis. The
veneral diseases are now, and should
be, considered simply as communica
ble diseases, not as sexual diseases.
Please remember that these dis-

With pardonable Southern pride, we have
always believed we brew just about the best
Ale and Beer in the world. Naturally there
has always been plenty of lively competition
ready to argue the point.
Down here in our territory the man who
knows his beer has always been able to choose
from the products of the foremost breweries
in the land. Yet it’s a fact that people here
drink more Atlantic than any other ale and
beer.
You have stood by us—not, we believe, be
cause of any local sentiment but because we
delivered a product second to none at a
reasonable price.
Now a change has come over the scene.
Many competitors have abandoned this
market and are now restricting their activities
to looking after their home communities.
That’s exactly what we at Atlantic have
always done. We "stayed home” and brewed
the best Ale and Beer that could be brewed

We want the people of Georgia to

: In order to be protected against these
■ infections one must know: (1) What
regardless of cost. We have always been
more interested in quality than quantity.
Now when the pinch comes, it’s up to us
to try and fill in the gap. Despite shortages
of bottle caps, restrictions on deliveries to
conserve rubber and gasoline, shortage of
man power due to the enlistment of many of
our personnel in the Armed forces—and faced
with unprecedented demand for our prod
ucts, we have increased our production to the
limit of the capacity of our four breweries
without sacrificing quality one iota.
It’s no longer just a question of selling beer
or making money. Under existing condi
tions there is little doubt but what we can
sell all that we can brew. We have redoubled
our efforts in order to keep faith with both
our trade and our customers.
It’s a matter of pride with us now—YOU
