IS THERE SUCH A THING AS
PERFECT
WOMANHOOD ?
“No”—claim medical authorities, who ought to /-.afcrfk
know! Nature has so constructed and physi- 9VD
cally endowed woman that in many cases she’s
apt to suffer certain distressing symptoms y&wr > \
during her life. For instance, when she enters
womanhood —or during the menopause, the
period when fertility ebbs away.
Now if on ‘certain days’ of the month—fe
male functional monthly disturbances are Jgmlammm
causing you to suffer from pain, nervous dis- I
tress and feel so tired, cranky, you snap at
your children and husband—then do try Lydia mol
E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound to relieve 'j \ wB
such symptoms. It’s famous for this purpose. Uj
'Made ESPECIALLY For Girls and Women
Pinkham’s Compound does more than relieve J J]\
such monthly pain. It also relieves accom- .1
panying nervous tension, irritability and weak, wJpffl
highstrung feelings—when due to this cause. Jgjrji j \
Taken regularly thruout the month this yff 1
great medicine helps build up resistance U Bwl /A!
against such distress. A thing any sensible \\mU J J
woman should want to do! ft
• Lydia Pinkham’s Compound is also very %h3T\ \ Efjjwßfr \
effective to relieve hot flashes and those funny, m t I
embarrassing feelings during the years 38 to fjja \ /
52—when due to the functional ‘middle-age’ j /
period peculiar to women.
Pinkham’s Compound is worth trying!

The 4-H District
Meet
(By David Davis, Boys
Vice-President)
The 4-H District Meeting was
held in Americus at the Georgia
Southwestern College for twenty
six southwest Georgia counties
last July. Club members competed
in demonstrations, public speaking,
livestock fudging, dress review,
cooking and other contests.
I competed in Boys Public
Speaking and won second place.
If two or more want to compete
;n the same contest, there i§ £
County elimination and winner
enters in the district. The 4-H
record book plays an important
part for it counts sixty per cent
of the score of the contest you
enter.
At the meet we also had rec
reation with other 4-H boys and
girls our age. We had a recreation
period every night in a big audL
torium-gymnasium, where we did
folk dances, games and "we had
other types of entertainment.
These contests offer a lot of
trailing. I plan to enter this sum
mer with' other hoys and girls
from this county,
- w? .
