HOMECOMING AT
MIDWAY CHURCH
Sunday was a happy day
for many who gathered *rom
far and wide for homecoming
at Midway Church near Jakin.
| The Rev. Chester Pelt, pas
tor, gave the inspiring ser
mon in which he called the
congregation to a renewed ap
preciation, of “memories” and
a dedication to the principles
for which their forefathers
' stood. He asked that the ques
tion, “what’s right with what
we do” be asked rather than
“what’s wrong with what we
do”. He urged those present
to adept that practice for a
positive Christian approach
jto life. Descendants of Mid
way felt grateful for the rich
heritage of worshipping in
the spot hallowed by their
fathers who had patterned
for them the good life.
After services an old-fash
ioned basket dinner was
spread.
