FINDS INDIAN RELICS
I, G. Ellis Hornsby, 927
Rose Lane, Annandale, Va.,
am on a vacation to my moth
er’s home- I decided to obtain
some Indian relics while I
was here to carry back to
Washington, D.C., where I
work, to show the people
there, to prove to them' that
Indians actually did live in
Seminole County.
I went to my cousin’s home
about five miles northeast of
Iron City, and tried to obtain
some Indian relics from them.
While Maurice Hornsby did
have a few Indian heads and
a milling stone the Indians
used to make meal with, he
suggested that I go to an
antique shop in Colquitt run
by a Mr. Rosmore, which I
did. I found numerous Indian
relics and purchased ten ar
row heads and a milling
stone.
When I lived in Seminole
County, I found numerous
Indian heads, but threw them
away.
