Turn About
Turn about is fair play.
We recently mentioned the
absent-minded deeds of two
gentlemen so now we pick on
the ladies. Last week Mrs.
Jim Greene, of over Gyrene
way, did the family laundry
early one morning and then
went about the other usual
duties of the household. Late
.in the afternoon She went out
to the clothes line to bring in
the clothes, but they were not
to be seen. She found them
still in the washing machine.
This can be laid to the fact
that Mrs. Greene has two
yprv young sons, Judson and
Joel, who are real boys and
demand a lot of her attention.
But. on what can Miss Polly
O’Neal blame the fact that
she took the butter off the
dining table at the end of a
meal, walked right by the
refrigerator and placed it on
the dresser in her bedroom?
We better not say any more
since we are a little older
than Po’’v and might be an
‘Old Maid’ some day, too- —cl

Wlr f
we
work ’em
hard!
Getting the most out of each penny we spend is an
old habit with us . . . for every dollar we borrow
must be returned to REA with interest. (America's
electric co-ops have repaid over a billion dollars on
principal, and a half billion dollars in interest on their
3!4 billion REA loans!)
Two cents worth of electricity is the best bargain in
your budget today! ... Bet you can't think of many
items that cost less today than they did twenty-five
years ago ... The cost of electric power, in relation
to the other things you spend money for, has gone
down and down. |
Economy and efficiency of operation, with service,
not profit as our reason for existence, have made it
possible to bring low-cost electric service to thinly
populated areas . • . setting a sort of "yardstick"
measurement for the costs of electric power distribu
tion ... And this benefits the users of electricity .. .
