OUT ON A— LIMB by Bo McLeod Wish this weather would make up its mind. Can’t tell when to stop complaining a bout the heat and start fuss ing about how cold ’tis- —O— Those Nat’l league teams are making a mess of things. I’ll be glad when they decide to decide the winner of the pennant and the right to lose to the Yankees in the Series. —O— This afternoon at 1:35, in the high school stadium, his tory will happen, when a foot ball team composed of D’ville lads will win a game. This is because the elementary school midget teams will be playings Unless there’s a scoreless tie, heaven forbid. The Republicans have a “truth squad” in action, or so they call it. It’ll be interesting to see how much “truth” they can find to work with. n— I believe I’ve found an easy solution to all so-called “rac ial’ troubles. Simply move the imaginary line that divides North and South to a point near the equator. This would make the present Southland part of the great North, and we could qualify for the chari ty that keeps troubles that happen up North (the present one. that is) from being racial, but automatically puts that label on everything that takes place down here. They have riots up there, between negro and white, but “race” has nothing to do with it. They attack and kill and rob one another, but the is sue is never of race. Simply moving the bound aries further in a southerly direction should cure every thing. Al Ronge says quickly now: Miller 6, Seminole 6% ? How’s that for precision! Newspics REGION IB GAME AT 8:00 Indians go to Colquitt Friday night THE SEMINOLE Indians will go to Colquitt Friday night, for a region IB game with the Miller County Pirates at 8:00 o’clock. The Seminole Marching In dians of Director Robert Strickland will accompany the team. Coach Denvard Snell has made several changes in the starting lineup for the Semin oles, after studying the game films of the Vienna and Ran dolph meetings. The films showed the In dians needed blocking prac tice and that’s what they’ve emphasized this week, Snell said. Coach Snell says he will take only 19 players to Col quitt because several of his lads played when the Indian B lost to Miller’s B’s Monday in Colquitt, 12-7. The changes include the moving of Tommy Cowan to left guard, Ralph Williams to center, Augie Clayton to right guard, Don Butler to right end, and Luke Spooner to his old post at right tackle. Butler joined the team re cently and is expectd to help the Seminole cause. Spooner started the season at fullback, was switched to guard, now he goes back to the spot he held for two seasons. Same Backfield The same backfield of Paul Brimlow at fullback, Bruce Baker, quarterback, and Jack Ivey and Mike Bowen, half backs, will be used against Miller. The Indians have lost two, to Blakely and Randolph, and they played to a tie in Vienna. The Pirates are winless and have scored only one touch down. They lost to Cuthbert 14-0 in a driving rain, Turner County 26-6, and Terrell of Dawson beat them last vreek, 39-0. The Pirates lost their main offensive player when Olin DONALSONVILLE (GA.)
