' • (3) ' ' We, this Grand Jury, recommend the appointment of the Honorable J. W. Wren as Notary Public Ex- Off. J. P. for 1046 District G. Seminole County Board of—Education, his term of office to expire March 1, 1970. (5) 4 We fix the pay„of Grand Jurors and Petit Jurors, Grand Jury Bailiff and all other Bailiffs, the same as now in force. (6) We authorize and direct our Clerk of Superior Court to des troy all election ballots east in past elections. (7) We hereby appoint three (3) members of the County Health Board as follows: Dr. R. J. Starl ing for a term of six (6) years, Dr. C. C- Stewart foe a term of four (4) years and Mayor A. A. Parker, his term to run concur rent with the term of the Mayor of Donalsonville, Georgia, all to serve for said terms and until their successors are elected and (8) We, this Grand Jury, respect fully recommend ,to our County Renresentation Hon. J. O. Brackin and to our Senator, Hon. Julian Webb, that they introduce in the next General Assembly.' a .local bill, authorizing the election of members of the County Board of - ■ B& B Electric Company ' " On Cherry Street Donalsonville, Ga. Education by the voters in the School District each member re presents on said Board of Educa tion. (9) We, this Grand Jury, wish to thank Honorable W. I. Geer, Jud ge of our Superior Court, for his able advise and instructions and we commend him on the fair, im partial and expedient manner in which he conducts our Superior Court and the other Superior Courts of the Pataula Judicial Circuit. (10) We also wish to thank our able Solicitor, Joe M. Ray, for his ’-excellent and valuable advise and assistance in all of our delivera tions. (11) We thank our Sheriff, and the Officers heliping him for their promptness in furnishing us wit nesses needed in our investiga tions and for all services render ed. (12) Our Superior Court Clerk, Lu ther Hastey, for writing up these presentments and recommenda tions for us. (13) We recommend and pray that these presentments and recom mendations :be accepted adopted and approved by the Court and ordered filed and published pur- law. Respectfully submitted, W. C. We, the committee on the pub lic roads of Seminole County have inspected the same and have fouund the same to be poorly k r pt and in need of repair, espec ially the road East of Mr. Samp Waddell’s house running North and South. This road has not been worked, and the bridge over Dry Creek is washed out impass able and there are no barracades and no lights at night, nor any warning sign to let people know bridge is out. Bkckhole to Desser road, North and South by Bell pasture place is unpassable, needs dirt hauled and fills need to be bigger and drain age pipes need to be larger and we recommend that these roads be fixed to take care of any traffic that goes over them. Whit taker, Brandy Trawick We, the committee submit our report of the Family and Children Service: Public Assistance Recipients in Seminole County, September, 1964 Old age assistance: White, 139; Negro, 133; Total Received $12,- 528.00 Aid to Blind: White, 11; Negro, 5; Total received $910.00 Aid to Families with Dependent Children: White, 17; Negro, 20; Total received $3,348.00 Aid to Disabled: White, 42; Neg ro, 24; Total received $3,492.00 Total case load: White, 209; Negro, 182 Respectfully submitted: C. Parker We, the committee to inspect public records have examined the records in the offices of the Clerk of ’Superior Court, Ordinary, Tax Commissioner and the Sheriff of Seminole County. We find the records in each to be neat, well kept and up to date, and commend each in the conduct of the offices. William Greene, J. H. Godby, Jr., P. A. Walker, Arthur Dur shimer, Jr. We, the committee on public buildings find that the Courthouse and jail are in reasonable good condition, we find that the top leaking at south end over steps needs repairing, plastering and painting, also painting Courtroom. The Sheriff’s quarters in particu lar, needs plastering and painting, kitchen sink and bathroom fixtures need replacing. The offices need better lighting system. The Health Department office and soil con servation needs painting. We find at County Work Camp, building in good condition but we do recom mend that painting be done on the inside of the Warden’s house. We also recommend that there be a building built to keep the white prisoners. John L. Drake, Jr., W. H. Miller, Jr., J. E. Adams, Gordon Barber We the committee on County School Superintendent’s office and White and Negro schools recom mend: Seminole County Training School was inspected and found in good condition except for a few leaks in the office and hall area of the building. The entire playing area at the school can stand a lot of improvement. The drainage ditch west boundary needs cleaning out. The white elementary school building is in good condition. The playground area should have ex tensive work done in the summer, such as leveling and grassing. There is a great need for a cover ed unloading area, for school buses at the elementary building and al so the walkway to the entrance to same building to be surfaced or resurfaced. The high school buildings and grounds were inspected and found in very good condition. The drive way in front of the high school needs some repair and resurfacing. B. W. Moore, Newton E. Joiner Report from Seminole County Public Health Department for the Year 1963: Communicable Disease Control: 10 treated for Hookworms, 55 treated for Roundworms, 35 treat ed for Pinworms; 106 Smallpox shots given; 165 Diphtheria, Whooping Cough and Tetanus given; 157 Typhoid; 185 Polio (Salk Vaccine), 117 Tetanus Toxoid; 56 given T.B. skin tests; Venereal Disease Control: 17 admitted to service; 1 given rapid treatment Tuberculosis Control: 103 ad mitted to service; 14 cases; 1 sus pects; 45 contacts; 43 others; 79 Persons x-rayed; 1 admitted to Battey State Hospital for T.B. 395 to these persons. * Maternal Service: 38 admitted to*. ’•/•expectant" . These patients were seen by-Doc tor and Nurse 235 times. 29 pa tients seen and were given a medical examination.
