County Hevos Tired Creek. Every body in this Bection bus Started farming for 1911. Messrs Joe Pierce,Fentress Walker, (fuss Laing, W. B. Roddenberry, and R. B. Belcher were in this sec tion Wednesday running lcjnd lines. Nice weather now for work of all kinds. Hope every body will make a nice crop for 1911. Wish The Progress much success for the new year. R, B. Belcher has sold out his timber to the Wight turpentine Company. J. B. Watts visited Cairo Mon day eyening. Mr. Johnny Eowin and his mother paid Cairo a short visit Wednesday eyening. W. E. VanLandingham is pre paring to plant cane. Just to see how many couples were married thi3 past gfall and winter the. writer tried to keep ac count but they got too for ahead. Mr. (fuss Gillard and Miss Mattie Ponder were married last Sunday eyening. Hope them a very happy sail o,-er lifes troubled seas. Not much news stirring now. Every body has started to farming around here now and are staying at home most of the titne. Rev. Monroe Mills, of Live Oak *Sccti> n and his father, Mr. Harrison Mills, were up visiting in the Och- lochnee section Thursday eyening, W. B. Roddenberry is having his saw mill moved from his upper plan tation down to his home place at Sugar Hill A. M. Eliot is looking after his moving for him. G. W. Helton and sr.nB, W. T. and George,went to Cairo Thursday. People in this section are break ing land for the new crop now. Mrs. Gussie Brinson visited her sister, Mrs. Luther Saddler Wed nesday eyening. Elpino News. There seems to be some little scare about smallpox in our community. We are sorry to note that Mrs. Florrie Willis is critically ill at this writing. •Sterling Norton was calling on his best girl Sunday afternoon. W. A. Shiver and wife have re turned from Pensacola, Fla., where they have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Blitoh. There are a good many new build ings going up in our section. That’s right boys, make ready your cage before catching the bird. Misses Nannie Salter and Bettie Dees returned last week from Bain- bvidge where they visited the form er’s sister, Mrs. T. L. Newsom. Messrs. Jesse, Mich and Dan Brinson made a business trip to Cairo Saturday. Our school is progressing nicely under the skillful management of Prof. J. P. Swann and Miss Nannie Salter. Dave Shiver, of Ty Ty,Ga., visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Shiver last week. Ivy Malloy attended to business in Cairo Saturday. All parents’ hearts go out in sym pathy to Mr. and Mrs. Byron Shiv er in the loss of their little daugh- ( ter, Missouri. $tie hatVbeenauffer- ing for some time with p right’s dis ease. Emory Broo ii, Arthur Lee and Ivy Ragans accompanied Misses Eflie and Eva Rehberg and Lizzie Broom home from the party at G. M. Shores’ Thursday night. W. T. Broom’s dwelling house is nearing completion. Guess he will scion be ready to move in it. i Emory Broom took his lady friend over to see his sisters Sunday and asked his mother kindly if he could take her home, she replied yes, but son, don’t be out late. Oh! how bad we do miss W. C Flail. Hope he won’t forget us all. Grier Garland and Miss Lou Bry ant did marry last Sunday—it’s no mistake this time either. J. M, Sasser made a business trip to Cairo Monday. Lee Booth made a flying trip to St. Augustine, Fla., and back, and reports bad luck, having had his money stolen from him while gone. If any of you boys want to know about St. Augustine, go to Lee for advice. Uncle Jess Maxwell was in town | the first of this week. Mrs.-Ida Castleberry returned to Pelham last week after spending (several weeks with relatives and friends of this sectien. Walter Mills went to Cairo Mon day. Rev. J. W. Cannon dined with Mr. Freeman Worable Sunday. Booth Crossing. The little Rehberg girls visited Miss Annie Lee Ross Sunday. Miss Lilia Rehberg spent Satur day and Sunday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rehberg, and returned to her school Sunday p. m. on the P. <fc H. G. W. Rich and wife were visitors at the home of W. T. Broom last Sunday. Miss Maggie Rehberg spent Sun- iy p. m. with Miss Annie Broom. Uncle Lush Hall was on his way to see Bud Sunday—guess he felt like he was getting back home again. Emory Broom visited Arthur Lee Sunday—-those boys say can cook for they have tried it a few times in life, that’s you hoys go on, now is your time to learn while young. T. J. Braswell is on the sick list at present. We hope him a speedy recovery. Mias Belle Broom is having a swell time with an abscess on her throat. She says it’s no good feel ing and I guess she knows. Prof. Marsh has moved to town, but the boys don’t seem to like their new home as well as they did their old one in the country though it may be the girls they like so well, not the old home. Is it so, boys? Andrew Holton visited Emory Broom Saturday night. If you want to know how high the Butler wood rack is, ask three certain girls, they know of course. Mrs. G. W. Rehberg spent Sun day afternoon with Mrs. J. T. Booth. The wedding bells are still ringing around here. The superintendent of a lunatic asylum usualy finds people crazy about him.
