The school at Sunny Side started the twenty-third with a very nice size roll of pupils, Miss Winnie Granger is teacher. R. A. Belcher and wife visited in Cairo Monday morning. W. E. VanLandingham and wife visited over towards Golden Rod Sunday. Mr. Swamp Williams is still on the siok list and has been for several days. Hope for him a speedy le- covery, Mr. Lester and Featress W a ]k er were in Tired Creek section Tuesday marking out land linefe so as to turpentine their timber. Mr. Clarence Harrison of Live Oak made a business trip to C ro Tuesday. Mr. Lucius Baggett was down near Tired Caeek for the interest of the Griner Lumber Company Wed nesday . Mr John Kelly was the ^uest of J. B, Watts Wednesday night. Pryor Collins of Live Oak section was a business visitor to Cairo Wed- nestay. Mr. ip warn d Williams is still sick ,at tins writing but we hope him a speedy recovery. ( R. B. Jarvis was the guest of his brother-in-law j Joe Goodwin, Tues day night. Jimmie Johnson is hauling pop ular logs to W. D. Lewis’s Mill at this writing. Albert Williams of cast Grady was in Tired Creek section Saturday morning finishing moving. Tom Sellars is breaking ne\y ground on S, H. Bilks placo near Tired Creek Saturdad. R. B. Jarvis visited his mother Mrs. S. I. Harrell Friday night. Gordon Horton and Dallas Moss made a business trip to Cairo Satur day. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Womblc vis ited their son, Mr. Wayne Wornble, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Smith spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Butler. Mr. and M:s. Dallas Moss visited Mr. and Mrs. Ruben McAfee Sun day. Mr. Walter Mills and son were at tending to business in Cairo Satur day. W. A. Shivers ginnery and saw mill, of near Eipino, was destroyed by fire Saturday night. W. E. N. Pine Level. J. N. Butler and J^ R, Godwin attended to business in Meigs one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Whigham went to Cairo Friday. The candy drawing given by Mr David Sellers last week was enjoyed by all who attended. R. G. Womble spent Saturday night with his brother-in-law, I. S. , Malloy. A, L. Womble attended to busi ness in Cairo Friday. Miss Vere Pipkins spent Saturday night with Miss Mattie Butler. Drew Mills was calliug on his best girl near Marshill Sunday. Mr. Willie Mills and Miss Min- Woodland The farmers of this section are busy ploughing, burning trash, etc. getting ready for another crop. ' W. E. Tylor was in Cairo Satur day morning. Quite a crowd of young people at- ttended the entertuinment at Mr. Irvings Wednesday night. All re port a fine time. Mr. Sidney Jordan and Miss Wirnifred Harper were out riding together Sunday evening. Mr. Alfred Akeridge accompanied his best girl home from the enter tainment Wednesday night. Messrs. H. L. Hughes' , and Al fred Akeridge were in Cairo Satuis day evening. We are too lazy to write much news to the paper this week. Quite a large congregation attend ed preaching at Nuziane Sunday night. I hope that none of our good church members will get in trouble about their dancing Saturday night. Me. Pleasant Grove. All the farmers in this section are busy breaking land. The gins, saw mill and grist mill belonging to Mr. Alfred Shiver were distroyed by fire las Saturday night. We have a splendid Sabbath school at Pleasant Grove every Sunday af ternoon. Mr. Willie Ragan accompanied Miss Alice Cook to Sunday school Sunday. Mr. Frank Reagan called on Miss Nettie Cook Sunday evening. Rev. J. P. Swann was with us and assisted us in our Sabbath school Sunday last. Subscribe for The Progress and get all the best and latest news. Mr. Julius Singletary is hav ing his new house painted. Guess he will soon be ready to occupy it. There will be a tinging next Sun day afternoon at Pleasant Grove led by Mr. Bragg Bariett. Blue Evfs. ' nity are expecting a great time at the box part.- Friday night. R. E. Cox spent Saturday night and Sunday In Cairo. F. M. Cox is having the stumps taken off his farm. Bright idea. Walter Barneau is having a pretty bad time. His horse kicked lus buggy and broke it and his girl kicked him and broke his heart. Better try to tame them, bo. Ruth Larkins spent Sunday with Clyde Whigham. Misses Pearl and Belle Moore, Lee, Harrell and Josephine Shivers, Messrs. Berry, Harrell, Fount, Kel ley and Dock Rigsby visited Miss Moore Whigham at Sunday. When in need of a first-rate yarn call on the scientific potato grower.
