The Epworth League
The regular devotional meeting of
the Epworth League was held Tuesday
evening, at that church. The services
were conducted by Mrs. George Wight
while Miss Ruth Walker, Mr. J. E.
Forsyth, Miss Susie Stubbs, and M.iss
Dessa Cox contributed much to intern t
of the program. The special music
rendered by Miss Addie Lou Powell,
Mrs. Dora Woods aud Mrs. A. C. For
ester was very enjoyable. Mr. Wh
Searcy gave an interesting talk on the
election of Senators.
The League is far from being a dead
organization but is a live power in the
church. The meetings are well attend
ed and are characterized by unusual
interest on the part of all.
Monthly Institute
for Grady Teachers
The next monthly meeting of the in
stitute for the white teachers of Grady
county- will be held at the Court House
in Cairo on Saturday, il/areb 18.
The next monthly meeting of the in
stitute for the colored teachers of Grady
county will be held at the court house
ia Cairo on March 25tb.
These meetings will begin promptly
at 10 o’clock a. m. . All teachers are re
quired to attend.
Prof. John S. Allen, superintendent
of Thomasville schools, will be with us
at the meeting of March 18.
