It is now only a few days until the time appointed for the Grady County Fair, Oct. 4, 5 and 6. Much remains to be done to make this, OUR FIRST FAIR, a suc cess and it is hoped that all who are interested in the welfare of county will do everything in their power to help make it a success. The Fair Committee is going for ward with their work and we will have everything complete before the time. We are making all the preliminary arrangements, such as preparing the grounds, select ing judges of the exhibits, collect ing the subscriptions and doing everything’necessary to take care of the Fair in every way. But all of these things will not |make the fair. It takes interest on the part of the people, it takes ex hibits to make a fair, it takes a united STRONG PULL BY . EVERYBODY; and the fair au thorities are expecting that on the part of the people. We have received lists of quite a number of exhibits in the last few days • but we want to see them begin to COME IN THICK AND FAST. If you expect to make exhibits, please do not 'wait until the last ten days, but JBEGIN TODAY and let us know what you purpose to exhibit in order that we may list it. When you. enter your ex hibits it makes us know that SOMETHING IS DOING towards the fair. There will be NO PER HAPS OR MAYBE SO connected with the Fair, it will be held on Oct. 4, 5, and 6th, 1911. The people have said so and we must bring it to pass. It has been thought best to al low the LIVE STOCK to be brought in the second day as this will not necssitate having. them all the time, but will keep them away from home only one night. Remember that everything will be under guard day and night and every precaution will be made to insure safty in every respect. We now have the complete PREMIUM LIST printed in letter form and if you wish any for your* self or friends, call on the Secr'e- tary or write him and they will be promptly mailed out to you. Finally, let me emphasize the fact that this fair is for Grady County and not for any section or class. It will help you to see What your neighbor is doing and it will star up lively and friendly competition among neighbors and the entire citizenship of the county will be the beneficiaries of the movement. For information of any kind; write the Secretary^ J, S. Weathers, Cairo, Ga. The Citv Pressing club is run for white trade only. Others need not apply. .
