Caught on the Curb
Hon. M, L. Letford retured
Saturday morning from Atlanta,
where he went on legal business,
Mr. N.‘ F. Jones, a good citi
zen of the city of Whigham, was
doing business here Wednesday.
Mr. R7 H. Stanalund, one of
North Grady’s good farmers,was
here Wednesday selling long
sweetnin’. -
Rev. and Mi’s. C. B. G. Johnson
will leave next week for Dublin,
where they will spend the holi
days with relatives.
Saturday was a great day in
Cairo. The town was jammed
and “crammed” with folks and
nearly everyone brought syrup.
Tha market was from 32 to 29c
the gallon.
Mr. J.. W. -Miller ot Miller
Bros , who has .'made a business
trip oyer most -of Grady county
this Week,..says .that the syrup
.making season is'just on good.
He chinks the farmers are not.

Pearce circtuit,. who has been liv
ing at Whigham for the past year,
has moved to Cairo,-and he and
Mrs, Johnson are pleasantly do
miciled in the Joe Higdon..; resi
dence on Grady street, We are de
lighted to have Bro. Johnst nas a
citizen of Cairo. ••
Mr. E. A. White, one of the
substantial' farmers, of North
Grady, was here Wednesday sell
ing syrup. . ‘
C. R. Cassels, a prosperous
farmer of rout 3 was here Wedr
nesday and put his name on our
big list.
Mr. J. W, Jackson, the cane
stripper Manufacturer, says he
has made and sold stacks of them.
- He makes the best stripper on the
market.

tive from DeKalb County, would
in all probability succeed Carter

been investigated as to whether
a man may marry his niece. Tb»

intermarriages just as it is set
forth in the law of Moses record
ed in the eighteenth chapter of
Leviticus. The Leviticus law be
ing-silent on this particular point,
it is not unlajyfiU for a man t*-
