PARTY RATES TO
, B. C.
A great many people are inte
rested in the coming inauguration
of Pres. Woodroe Wilson and the
matter of rates to Washington,
D. C. has been a subject of fre
quent inquiry. Advices from the
passenger department of the
AtlanticCoast Line Railway fur
nish the pleasing information that
there is to be a party rate, which
willbe about $17.00 for the round
trip to Washington and return.
Some months ago the editor of
this .paper undertook to arrange
for a special train to accommodate
the people of Southwest Georiga
who desired to witness the in
auguration of a Democratic pres,
ident. The Coast Line agrees to
give us a special train, with a
diner,, on a basis of 100 passengers.
With the present rate of $17.00
railroad fare & special train ought
to be easy. By doubling up, two
passengers to a berth, the fare to
Washington and return, including
Pullman, would not be over $22.00.
Let lis have the special to Wash-
in gton by all means, and if we are
to have it the people of this sec
tion w;ho war}ts to go to the in
auguration should get together
and arrange the metter

A news item frbm Carhefeyille;
Ga., tells of a small boy who shot
and killed his little sister about a
game of checkers. We feel sure
that an investigation would
reveal the fact that that boyha3
been reading JNick Carter and.,
Jesse James literature! Almost
every boy is reading this soi* of
stuff these days, and it is poison
to the mind the soul and the
whole system. Better find out
what your boy is reading.
