Two weddings, connecting
Jairo and Pelham, Ga., and
Quincy, Fla., in closer bonds of
friendship, were consumated last
Sunday.
Two young men of Quincy, Fla.
friends and associates in busi
ness, decided to begin the matr
rimonial voyage at the same tirpe.
Mr. G. H. Wilcox had found a
life partner in the person of Miss
Lula Bloodworth,' of this city,
and Mr. Aswell Cox had won the
heart and hand of Miss Minnie
Hawkins of Pelham.
The two young men came to
Cairo Sunday morning on an au-

There is a full docket on hand,
to say nothing of what the Grand
Jury may find, and we may expect
a full week of the reign of law.
There is only one murder case
to be tried, so far, that of R. L.
Burnes, charged with killing his
father in law, during the month
of November last.

Miss Lula Bloodworth and Mr.
Wilcox were joined in the holy
estate of matrimony, Dr. Rags
dale, pastor of the First Baptist
church, officiating. Immediately
after the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs.
Wilcox and Mr. Aswell Cox,
left for Pelham, where Mr. Cox
wedded Miss Hawkins.
The two happy couples then
partook of a wedding feast and
then motored oVer to Whigham,
and from there to Quincy, Fla.,
their future home.
Mrs. Wilcox is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Bloodworth
and is a young . lady of beauty
and refinement. Mr.-Wilcox is
a prosperous young business man
of Quincy, and the young couple
.begin married life under auspi-
ceous circumstances.

tleman and has a host of. friends
in Cairo.
