Cairo Camp, W.O. W., had a
rally Tuesday night, the chief
speaker being Deputy Simmons
of Birmingham. Mr. Simmons
assisted the boys in the degree
work and gave a fine lecture
Mr. Simmons will return to Cairo
some time soon and will deliver a
public address on fraternalism, to
which the public will be invited.
Mr. T. J. Rawls was in Cairo
Tuesday and Wednesday. He
came to bring Mrs. Rawls, who
is not very well, to be treated at
Dr. Walker’s sanitariun. She
underwent an operation Wednes
day morning which was entirely
successful.
Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Sizemore
of near Meigs, were guests of
their daughter, Mrs. A. L. Mil
ler, in Cairo Wednesday.

Of the many delightful meet
ings of The Round Dozen club,
none surpassed the one Tuesday
afternoon at which Mrs. Walter
Wight entertained.
The spacious living room,
where the tables were arranged
for the games of Rook, was ef
fectively decorated with yellow-
jasmine, narcissus and palms.
Mrs. Wight wps charmingly as
sisted in serving by MiesNewton.
After a very interesting
game, at which Mrs. Warned,
made top score, the guests were
invited in to the’dining roem>
where delightful hot refreshments;
were served.
The center piece 1 was a beauti?
ful arrangements of pink and
white hyacinths and maiden hair
fern.
