Prof. I. A. Malloy, principal of
the Pine Hill school, was in town
Saturday afternoon. He has 75
pupils on the roll and a splendid,
attendance. His sister is assist
ing him.
Mr. K. M.' Bennett, make a
business trip to Thomasville Tues
day afternoon.
Mr. G. S. Johnson left Wednes
day for Baltimore and New York,
where he went to buy goods for
the fall and winter trade.
Mr. 0. T. Davis has returned
from his trip east. He reports
a good time and a restful vaca
tion.
Mr. T. L. Rushin returned last
Saturday afternoon from Balti
more, where he went to buy fall
stock.
Mr. W. G. Baggett spent Sun
day in Tallahassee with his
daughter Mrs. Strickland.

burg, Fla., is the guest of Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Davis.
Miss Liaila Killingsworth who
has been spending some time
here with friends, returned Tues
day to her home in Troy, Ala.
Pine Park has purchased land
for a school house and grounds,
and has the plans for the build
ing. The house will not be ready
before the Spring term of school.

and “IN BAD,” to use the slang of the day.
Local merchants are “BUNKERED” when you fail to patronizo
them and send your money out of town to mail order houses.
The town itself is “BUNKERED” when it does not hustle for
new industries and support a live Board of Trade.
Mrs. W. L. Fambrough return

where she spent some time with

Miss Susie Stubbs is spending
a few weeks at Indian Springs.
Miss Eva Hall is visiting rela
tives and friends in Fla.
Dr. Ragsdale returned the lat
ter part of the week, from his
visit to North Georgia. He bad
an enjoyable and profitable trip.

Messrs. B. A. Alderman and
son, E. L. Alderman, was here
Saturday.
Dr. B. W. Davis, a prominent
Baptist minister of Camilla, was
here Saturday. He was enroute
to Calvary where he preached
Sunday.
Mr, W.H. Searcy,Sr. will return
the latter part of the. week from
a ten days visit to old friends at
Talbotton, Ga.
Dr. T. H. Andrews of Cuth-
bert was the gust of his son, Mr.
P. C. Andrews, Sunday. Dr.
Andrews is a prominent physician
of his city and a'most clever gen
tleman.
Mr. C. I.* Tillman of Calvary
was here Saturday. He was go
ing to Valdosta to spend Sunday,
Mrs. Tillman being on a visit to
relatives in Moultrie.
Mrs. C. G. Stephens is visiting
relatives and friends in Macon
and Monticello, Ga., for ten days.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Wight will
leave Tuesday for north Georgia.
The smaller children went with
them. They went as far as At
lanta in their car. Mr; Wight
will attend the State Horticultur
al Society at Clayton on the 19th
and 20th.
Mr. R. S. Roddenbery of Moul
trie spent several days here with
relatives last week.
Mr. J. A. Bloodworth of At
lanta spent a few days with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. J.
Bloodworth, last week. This
young man holds an important
position with the Lowery Bank
ing Co. in the Gate City.
Rev. I. E. McKeller, formerly
pastor of the Methodist church
here, spent a few days here with
old friends last week Re will
occupy the chair <?f English at
Emory College during the next
year.
