WOMAN SUICIDES ON A
G. N. PASSENGER TRAIN
Moultrie, Ga., Sept. 22.—Mrs
Oscar Golden, of Doerun, com
mitted suicide on a Georgia North
ern passenger train this morn
ing by draining the contents of a
four-ounce bottle of carbolic acid.
That the despondent woman
had planned carefully to take her
own life was evidenced by the
contents of a note that she pin
ned to her dress, just above her
heart.
In the note she stated that the
reason she went to Albany was
that she wanted to give the dead
ly fluid an opportunity to do its
wprk without the interference of
medical aid that might be sum
moned.
She gave instructions as to the
disposition of her body and asked
that her funeral be preached by
hor pastor and that she be shroud
ed in white, with white gloves.
At the bottom of the note that
was written with a steady hand
she asked that the sixty cents
that remained in her purse be
divided’between her two young
sons.
Mrs. Golden did not intimate
why she-was tired of life.
The board of tax assessors for
