stroyed by fire leaving no school
building in said district for the
white children of said district.'
And whereas, a petition signed
by more than one-fourth of the

town of Whighain, Georgia, the

All registered qualiliod voters of said

Trustees of said district shall con
solidate the vote of said election
and declare the result and should

voters of suid school district vote in

to issue as herein set out. And in

Beit resolved, That an election
be held in said district, at the

dollars for the purpose of building
a School building in Said district
for the use of the white schoolchild

shall be thirty-two in number of
the denomination of two hundred
and fifty dollars each, and b ar in
terest from date of issuance at rate
of six per cent per annum; The in
terest on said bonds shall be paid
annually"on the first day of eacli
January beginning witli January
1st, 1915. Two'ofsaid bonds of
denomination of two hundred and
fifty dollars each shall he paid an-
nun.ll> beginning with' January 1st,
19l(i and two on the first dav of
eacli January thereafter until the
thirty-two bonds shall have been
paid in full on the first day of Jan
uary, 1932. All of which shall bo
paid in lawful money of the United
States at any Bank in Atlanta,
Georgia.
Be it further resolved, that said
election shall beheld on the 28th,
lay of February, 1914, in accord
ance with Section 430-et sequetor
of the Civil Code of Georgia and

Purpose*” approved August 17th,

Miss Lena Belcher has just re
turned from Atlanta, where she

of millinery, notions, etc.
The many friends of Mr. Jim
Triilock will be grieved to learn
of his death on Thursday the
nineteenth. Interment took
place Friday evening.
Miss Jesse Parker will return
next week a while in Atlanta
and Thomasville in the interest
of her millinery work.
The Epworth' League Confer
ence wili be held here Thursday
and Friday of this week,

The Concert given at the School
auditorium last Friday evening
was the scene of much merri
ment. The boys and girls dress
ed in colonial costumes presented
quite a quaint picture to the au
