The railroad" commission has
ruled that jitney busses are com
mon carriers and have formulated
rules for their regulation.
According to the government
report the yields of oats and
wheat in Georgia. for this year
were nearly double of those of
1914.
If you want to be a "real fel

With the increase of automo

lately, it looks as though safety
demands that all railroad cross

run it would be economy to the

Propose to Seperate
The Two Offices.
The proposed bill to Seperate
the offices of comptroller general
and insurance com nissioner,
which will be introduced in the
coming legislature, is receiving
some wide comment.
Since it is known that the bill
is without political significance
and is not an attack on anybody
but simply an efficiency measure
looking towards the stricter jp
eration of the state’s splendid in
surance laws, there is said to be
a strong probability that it will
eceivt no opposition^ all.
The plan is to make the office
of insurance commissioner an
seperate and distinct state house
officer-and to provide by law that
the the office shall be filled by an
experienced and expert insurance
man, technically able to fill the
position.
Within the last two or three
years it has been estimated that
the people of Georgia have lost
ten or twelve millions of dollars
through irresponsible insurance
companies. It is declared that if
Georgia had an active, vigorous
and watchful insurance commis
sioner, whose entire time could,
have been devoted to looking af-
ter the insurance interests of the
state, the citizens , of "Georgia
would have been saved this tre
mendous sum of money which
they have lost.
