trustees of Norman Instiute was
held in Moultrie last week.
The trustees organized by elec
ting M. D. Norman, of Norman,
Park chairman, to rucceed his
brother, the late J. B- Norman.

The Fourth of July in Cairo—
or rather the celebration of that

The stores were not closed but
the banks and the post office and
rural carriers, took the day off.
There being no baseball game
arranged nor any other amuse
ment planned, it was hot deemed
advisable to close the. stores, nor-
did any care for a few hours; off
as there wap nothing of mo
ment going on.
Late in the afternoon the mem-
bers of the Fire department, en
gaged in, a water battle on
B oad street, which was quite
exciting for a few minutes. The

The A C. Line Railway will
run a special excursion to Bruns
wick, Jacksonville and Tampa on

one point on which I am not
clear as to the proper course and
that is as to whether .the county
commissioners shall be elected by
the voters of the commissioner’s
district, in which the commis
sioner lives, or by the vote of
the entire county.
I would be glad .to have, ex
pressions from-the people oh this
point by letter or otherwise, as
it is.my desire to meet and .carry
out the wishes of my constituents
in all legislation where same
does not conflict with iny sense
of right and justice.
