H^aatiMwcvN GRADY CUUN'fY PUK}ttfc83, CAIRO. GEORGIA. J - • «.— -—-^—us Aggregate Majorities in Counties Going for Him Estimated at 3000, While Aggregate Majorities in Park’s Counties About 1000 The Cox Campaign Committee, composed of reliable a%d conservative citizens of all the counties of the dist rict, has made a careful study of every county in the district as to the congressional race, and using as a guide the most careful and conservative information obtainable, as its opinion that Judge E. E. Cox will be nominated for Congress September 1 2th, by a majority of approximinately 2000. able and well known citizens have affixed their signature to the esti- from their respective counties and these arefgiven below in detail: Colquitt For Cox by 600 Mjaority Moultrie, Ga., Sept, litli—Colquitt county has about 3800 qualified voters. Under favorable conditions there will be polled about 2500 votes and Judge Cox will get a majority of at least 000. The un dersigned predicted a majority like (he above for two candidates in primary of 1914, and the prediction proved correct. The- conditions are not so favorable for the candidates as they are now for Judge Cox. R. II. Freeman, Jas L. Dowling, J. W. Butts, J. 0. Gibson. v 200 Majority for Cox in Tift Tifton, Ga., Sept., Gth— It is very amusing to note a message pub lished in the Albany Herald together with others from over the district that Conraessman Park will carry Tift. Our honest opinion is that Judge Cox will carry Tift county by at least 200 majority. We believe that election tiny will prove this to be true. J. M. Shaw, E. E. Slack, T. J. Parker 1400 Majority for Cox Camilla, Ga., Sept. Gth—To the people- of the second district: We have in Mitchell county 3168 registered voters. We have had no county primary, and therefore all county officers will be nominated on t .e 12th of September. In view of the fact that every county officer lus opposition, this county will poll the largest vote in its history. To be conservative, wo wilbpoll 2600. In our opinion it will not be possible for Congressman Park to get more than 500 or 600 votes. Any p.'rson giving information other than for political purposes will verify , this estimate. We have studied conditions carefully and want to as- s ire tho people of the district that Mitchell county on the 12th of September will take care of her favorite sen by an ovci whelming majority. ‘ M. H. Metsalf, J. C. Lewis, J. W. Butler, O. J. Culpepper, ,T. R. Bennett. B. C. Gardner,- T. A. Acree, W. S. Collins, Early for Cox by 100 Majority Blakely, Ga., Sept. 0th.—Though Early is the home county of the present congressman’s brother and would naturally be expected to go for Park, good political judges put Early in the dot b'ful column with the doubt in favor of Judge Cox. It is confidently claimed by con servative Cox supporters that lie will carry the county by 100 or more majority. Blakelv will give Cox a good majority. A. II. Gray,' W. N. West, W. W. Fleming, W. J. Grist, I/. M. Rambo, C. C. Boyett. Thomas For Cox by 500 Majority Thonmsville, Ga., Sept. 0.—Thomas county will give Judge Cox a majority of 500. This estimate is conservative. The party who furnished the Albany Herald with statement that Judge Park would carry Thomas lies always missed his prophesies in the past by several hundred, and will do so again: W. I. McIntyre S. W. Davis J. M. Austin Decatur in Doubt Bainbridgc, Ga., Sept'. 6.—At the opening of die Campaign it was thought that Congressman Park would carry the county by an over whelming majority but Judge Cox’s campaign in this county has been one of the most systematic ever waged here and the strength of the gressman has been greatly cut into. The county is now close, fighting ground so to speak with cither one likely to carry it. Impartial ob servers are constrained to the opinion that the result will be very close with the majority for either not excessive. R. G. Hartsfield C. S. Hodges. Baker for Cox by Small Majority Newton, Ga., Sept. 6.—From the best information obtained from the most conservative and nuthoritive sources, it seems that Baker county will go for Judge Cox by a small majority. Cox sentiment is growing fast in this county and I am sure that by election clay the majority will be larger than now appears. 1 have been carefully gathering information from impartial sources from all over the district, and I adhere to my original estimate of 1200 majority for Cox in the whole district. BENTON ODUM. Small Majority for Winner in Miller Colquitt, Ga., Sept. 6.—Miller county will be close. If Park car ries .the county, will not be by larger majority than one hundred. Cox supporters do not concede Miller to Park. Cox is making splendid gains. If sentiment continues to change, Cox will carry County. Billie B. Bush J. E. Tabb J. E. Lane J. S. Willsin E. S. Rodney 350 Majority for Cox in Doughtery Albany, Ga..Sept. 6.—Doughtery county will give Judge tox a majority of 300 to 350. This is the opinion of the most conservative political observers of the county as well as of the undersigned. H. A. Peacock Henry Tarver. Park Will Get 60 per cent, of Worth Sylvester, C.a., Sept. 6.—Judge Park will carry about 60% of Worth county vote Cox about 40%. The size of the vote depends up on whether or not weather is favorable for farm work. Prospects are for a moderate percentage of the vote to be east. Clifford Grubbs J. L. Tison E. K. Gulley T. R.
