Call and See fer Your self
C. F. SANDERS,
JEWELER Cairo, Ga,
We will be glad to have you attend our Auction Sale to be held in
ur barn on the date mentioned above. In offering this thoroughbred
cattle—Shorthorns, Jerseys and Holsteins, we arc giving you the results
of our best efforts. There may bolter cattle living—better biood—but
we are prone to believe so.
We have gone into the heart of the ‘Piedmont Section’ of Kentucky
which for years has bee recognized, and rightfully so, as the home of
Aristocratic Animal Industry. There arc no better Horses, Mules,
Cattle or Hogs on the face of the globe tlmn those, produced on the
blue grass fields near Lexington, Ky.
Wo have spared no pains in obtaining the best—we have had the
co-operation of the Experiment Station of the State of Kentucky in lo
cating those families of animals, in Shorthorns, Holsteins and Jerseys
that represent the very best blood to be had—That blood that breeds
‘ON’ and ‘Up.’
We have prepared a catalogue giving the full description and
breeding of each animal to be sold and will'be glad to mail a copy to
you on request.
By E°*ng over the pedigree of the animals shown in this catalogue,
n the Shorthorns, will be noted such wonderful sires as ‘Whitehall
Marshall’of Elmendorf Farm; Elmendorf Imperial,; ‘Silent Marshall,;
Elmwood Laddie, and other great sires. In Jerseys, such sires as
Oonan My Farfnrshire,’ by Forfarshire's Golden Lad’ and out of
Oonan My Pride’, Also Golden Ferns Signal Prince’; Geo. B. Fox’;
and ‘Graconas Foxy Crusoe. Combining a line of sires that can not be
excelled in the world. Look them up in the American Jersey Cattle
Chib Record and you will find them sires of ns many Daughters of
Register of Merit ns any sires of the breed.
In Holsteins we have two young Bulls that are of the Best On
Earth. A study of their pedigrees in the catalogue will convince
you of this fact, The Holstein heifers will be the only cattle, not pedi
greed, offered in this sale, bnt they will represent individuals that will
ommand favorable comment: and coming from one of the best herds in
Kentucky, as they do; will prove to be great producers and are ideal
for the man that wishes tp sell his product to the creamery.
The future holds wonderful possibilities for this favored section of
the south and there is bound to be an enormous demand lor bettor
‘dairy cattle’—‘pedigreed cattle’ to meet the requirements of the present
and contemplated Creameries that arc being established aH around
about us.
With a Creamery and Packing House at Moultrie; Packing Houses
at Waycross, Statesboro, Macon and'Atlanta, Ga,, Jacksonville, Fla.,
and Montgomery, Andalusia and Birmingham, Ala., we have the mar
ket, there is no question about that, and the only thing to do is to get
busy and raise something to sell, whether it be MILK or BEEF.
Attend Our Sale—Buy a * Good Bull,
Heifer or Cow and Get Started Right.
Sale Starts Promptly 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, October 5th, 1916.
