Local Tax carried by a vote of 33 to 13, which is a splen did showing and speaks well for the progressivcncss of that school district. This makes 22 out of the 45 dis tricts in the, county that have now voted local tax for schools. Six districts have voted on this question in 1916 and five have car ried for local tax. It is interesting in this connec tion to note Abut only one district in,the county has ever voted out local tax and that district now wants local tax. It is a splendid evidence of the increasing interest .in the education of our boys and girls that this steady advance of local tax in the county is going on. We believe however that an even greater ad vance step for the county will be taken when a county wide system of local tax is inaugurated. Selecting the Laying Stock WM. S.
