DEADLY EXPLOSION
Whelms Half a Score of Sunday Work
ers in Torpedo Factory at Find
lay, Ohio.
As a result of an explosion in the
two drying rodms of the Lake Shore
Novelty Company's plant at Findlay, 1
O., Sunday, seven persons are known
to be dead, five are so seriously hurt
that recovery is believed to be impos
sible and twelve or fifteen are in
jured badly.
From reports of the physicians ten
of the less seriously injured may die
as a result of blood poisoning from
the potash that was driven into their
bodies. Two employees are missing,
and are supposed to have been blown
to atoms.
The Lake Shore novelty works plant
covered nearly ten acres of ground in
the southwest part cf the <)ity and
employed nearly two hundred men,
’Women and children. Railroad torpe
does and Fourth of July explosives
were manufactured, but, owing to the
large rush of orders, the officials of
the plant requested the employees to
report for duty Sunday. About thirty
complied with the request.
Early in the morning the residents
of Findlay were startled by two ex
plosions that shattered windows
throughout the city. The concussion
was felt for miles around. Two mag
azines, in separate rooms at the nov .
elty works, let go simultaneously with
terrible reports. The exact cause of
the explosion is not definitely known.
The explosion occurred shortly be
fore the employees .assembled for
duty. At least twenty persons werz
on their way to the factory when the
explosion occurred, Human forms
were strewn considerable distances
apart, on the factory site.
The large plant is shattered into
fragments, not one single wall remain
ing. Bricks and timber can be found
for a half a mile around. *

Catarrh of the Stomach is Generally
Called Dyspepsia-Something
to Produce Artificial Diges
tion is Generally Taken. •
Hence, Pepsin, Pancreatin and a Host
of Other Digestive Remedies
Has Been Invented.
These Remedies Do Not Reach the
Seat of the Difficulty, Which
is Really Catarrh.
FA X. U. S. Senator M. C. Butler from
South Carolina was Senator front that
.
State for two terms. In a recent letter to j
The Peruna Medicine Co., from Washing
ton, D. C., says:
1 can recommend Peruna for dy&
pepsia and stomach trouble, 1 have
been using your medicine fora short
period and I J eel very much relieved.
It is indeed, a wonderful medicine
besides a good tonic. ” — M. C. Butler.
The only rational way to cure dyspepsia
is to remove the catarrh. Peruna cures
catarrh. Peruna does not produce catarrh arti- and
ficial digestion. It cui'es
leaves the stomach to perform digestion
in a natural w-ay. This is vastly better
and safer than resorting to artificial meth
ods or narcotics.
Peruna has cured more cases of dyspep- I
sia than all other remedies combined,
simply because it cures catarrh wherever
located. If catarrh is located in the head,
Peruna cures it. If catarrh has fastened it
self in the throat or bronchial tubes,
Peruna cures it. When catarrh becomes
settled in the stomach, Peruna other. cures it,
as well in this location as in any
Peruna is not simply a remedy for
dyspepsia. Perunia is a catarrh remedy.
Peruna cures dyspepsia because it is gen
upon catarrh.
