native sons of Georgia.
The number of men from the Em

ranks of the Army would be difficult
to determine, but the number in the
commissioned grades is 277. Cap
tains predominate, there being 102 of
ficers holding this rank. The remain

brigadier general; thirteen colonels;
twenty-four lieutennant colonels; thir
