February Rainfall Set

Club Basketeers Will
Enter 2 Tournaments
The Cairo Athletic Club basketball
teams, which are conducting a most
successful playing season, are plan
ning now to enter the Gold Medal
tournaments in Moultrie.
The boys’ team, paced by J. M. Mar
tin and Wilbur Wood, had a record of
only two defeats thus far this season
when it met the Tallahassee Afch
letic Club team here Thursday night.
It deefated the Dixie (Ga.) Athletic
Club team here Wednesday night and
has lost contests only to the Thomas
ville Y and Donalsonville A. C. quin
tets during the season. The boys will
play the Donalsonville team in Don
olsonville tonight, Friday, and other
games may be scheduled before the
boys’ tournament in Moultrie on
March 13th through 17th.
The girls team is paced by Marian
Baker, Vivian Futch Singletary and
Mary Wimberley. It will enter the
j girls’ tournament in Moultrie which
j is to be played next week,
