Miss Grace Akridge Honored
With Birthday Party.
A very enjoyable occasion of the
week was the lovely birthday party
given in honor of Miss Grace Akridge
on Monday night, March 27th at her
home.
Games were enjoyed thruout the
evening after which delicious punch
with cake and cookies was served.

CROSS ROADS CLUB HAS
MEETING.
The Cross Roads Home Demonstra
tion Club met with Mrs. Walter Car
roll on Thursday afternoon, March
23rd. The meeting was called to order
by the president, Mrs. W. R. Harri
son.
Song, “Home On The Range”, was
sung and the devotional was in charge
of Mrs. W. R'. Sutton. Another song

'was read a verse by each person.
The roll call was responded to with
“My -Favorite Spring Flower.”
A short business session was held,
after which Miss Dorris Nichols gave
an interesting talk, also a demonstra
tion, on slip coverings.
During the social hour delicious i»
freshments were served. Also a game
of “Buzz” was enjoyed by all.
There were sixteen members and
four visitors present.
