satisfactorily following an operation

asville, visited in Cairo Wednesday
afternoon and joined Secretary M. L.

Mr. and Mrs. E 1 . L. Reagan, their
daughter, Miss Jewell Reagan, and
Mr.' Thomas Walker, spent Sunday in
Dothan, Ala., with relatives and
friends. Mr. Kenneth Reagan, who
is employed in Montgomery, Ala.,
joined them there for the day.
IMiss Carol Higdon, a student at
Brenau College, at Gainesville, Ga.,
came home Friday and underwent an
appondectomy at Cairo Hospital. She
is convalescing satisfactorily and hope
is expressed that she will be restored
to normal health in due time.
Rev. William A. Tyson, pastor
the First Methodist Church at Tupelo,
Miss., and a beloved former pastor of
the Cairo Methodist Church, visited
friends in Cairo Tuesday afternoon.

weeks, or longer, with her daughter,
Mrs. John Wight, and the family. It
was erroneously reported that Mrs. Al
len came here several weeks ago.

Mrs. Paul F. Thomas, of Athens,
came Sunday for a visit with her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Mauldin, and
other relatives and friends. She plans
to leave today, Friday, for Jackson
ville, to join her husband for the
week-end, after Which they will return
to their home in Athens.
