Springs Community at 7:45 p.
Friday, March 11th; he was sick
:nly a few hours being suddenly
afflicted with a heart attack.
The funeral service was held
Bold Springs Church at 4 o’
clock Sunday afternoon with the
Rev. A. T. Hart in charge. Inter
ment was in the Cairo Cememtery.
Active pallbearers were: An-
thony Ferrell, Bernard Ferrell,
Jackie Ferrell, Kenneth Ferrell,
Thurmond Owens and Eugene
Barton,
The following old friends serv¬
ed as an honorary escort: J. A.
.Aldridge, T. W. Aldridge, Ben
Harrison, Shelby Gainous, E.
Morris, Asa Shiver, Henry Caider,
A. Edwards, E. A. Gandy and J.
K. Forrester.
The deceased was born Feb. 18,
1889., the son of the late Mr. and
Airs. Jessie M. Ferrell, Miss Lillie
Admas became his bride on Dec.
20, 1908.
Mr. Ferrell spent his life in this
coupty. On Thursday, ithe day be¬
fore his death, he moved back to
the Bold Springs Community
after operating a grocery store in
the Eastern section of Cairo for
two years. Being of a very stable
nature he was highly esteemed by
friends and ecquaintances. His
family has been prominent in
Grady County for some years.
His survivors are his widow:
four daughters, Mrs. Walter
James and Mrs. Corbeth Connell,
of Cairo, Mrs. Glen Harris of Mo¬
bile, Ala. Mrs. W. P. Perry, Jr.,
of Macon; one son, George C.
Ferrell, of Cairo: three brothers
J. V. Ferrell, of Pelham, R. L.
Ferrell, of Cairo, and H. B. Fer¬
rell, of Key West, Fla.; and nine
grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were in
charge of the South Georgia Fun¬
eral Home.

“Meet My Wives" At
Auditorium Here
Saturday Night
Everybody is invited to be at
the Cairo High School Auditori¬
um Saturday evening, March 19,
to see the show “Meet My
beginning at 8:15 o’clock. This
is a comedy in three acts
will be presented by a cast of
men and women of Calvary. The
show was presented at Calvary
under the sponsorship of the P.
T. A. recently and was hailed as
a raving success. It is filled
with clever lines and hearty
laughs from beginning to end.
“Meet My Wives” is being
•ponsored Saturday night here
by the Southside Interest Group
if the Southside Grammar School.
The public is invited to come
and help swell the funds for
school benefit.

Plans A Program To
Advertise Election
The Grady County local unit
of the G. E. A. has planned a pro
gram whereby they expect to con
tact all the registered voters in
the County before the April 5th.
referendum, and explain the sign¬
ificance of the contingent appro¬
priations.
For general information, the
schools of this County will re¬
ceive approximately $ 173,000 ad
ditional money to operate on, not
to mention that which will come i
to the county for highways, post
roads, public health, forestry, and
eld age pensions.
The teachers of the county are
depending on the American Leg¬
ion, Farm Bureau, Civic organ-!
izations, P. T. A.’s, members of i
the Chamber of Commerce, andj
other organizations to join hands!
and advertise what the people-are j
voting for. The benefits that the
smaller counties will receive in I
proportion to the amount they put
in is too great to miss. Over 40
percent of the contingent appro¬
priations will be paid by nine of
