Win Trips
Grady Gains 4

their leaders returned home last
Friday from the annual Georgia
4-H Club Congress in Atlanta
with glowing accounts of their
successes there.
Foremost, of course, was tfye
Atlanta Journal state community
improvement award, with $500 in
cash, won by the Triple G (Grady
Go-Getters) Club. These club
leaders were featured on Journal
WSB radio broadcasts and tele¬
vision.
In addition, Grady 4-H Club
members won four of the 23
state championships to almost
monopolize the annual competi
tion. Love Rchberg, a

to Atlanta by plane to be told

Charles Ward, soil conservation
champion, is now competing in
regional and national circles, with
either a free trip or a college
scholarship as a reward.
Fred Carroll, local industrialist,
happended to be in Atlanta and
came upon the Grady group at
the Piedmont hotel,
them for their splendid achieve
ments, he promptly provided all
of the girls and ladies with beau
tiful corsages, along with a large
box of candy. The boys and men
were given flowers for their
lapels, also. Other agencies and
individuals also made appreciated
contributions to the nice trip for
the party to Atlanta.
