Cook High Meets Newnan For
"B" Championship Tonight
Hornets Took South Georgia Title
From Jesup 26-13 Last Friday Night
The Cook High School Hornets
who won the South Georgia
crown last Friday night by de¬
feating Jesup 26 to 13 will meet
the strong Newnan eleven in Al¬
bany for the State title in class
“B” football competition tonight,
Friday, at 8:00.
The selection of Albany, a
neutral site, for the tilt was made
Saturday night at a meeting of
the officials of the two schools
in Macon. Since Macon has been
“tied up” by the class “A” play¬
off, no agreement could be reach¬
ed by the coaches on a location
for the scene of the contest. This
situation invoked the rule of de¬
cision by lot. Cook High won the
toss and named Albany. Had
Newnan won the toss the teams
would have battled it out in
Griffin.
The game will be called at 8:00
o’clock at the Albany stadium.
All tickets at the gate will be
$1.10, one price to all. However,
advance student tickets will be on
sale at $ .55 at Cook High School
in Adel, at Newman High School
in Newman and at Albany High
School in Albany.
The Newnan team will wear
gold jerseys, the Cook team will
wear white jerseys and a brown
ball with black stripes will be
used in the game.
The Albany High School will
furnish the field equipment and

and will make the awards.
Each team will furnish its own
field doctor.
A public address system will
be used during the game, but no
