We sympathize with Mr. John
F. Fore, of Mountaintown, in
the death of his little two year
old baby, which died this week.
Ellijay was visited by quite a
wind and rain sto rm this week,
blowing down severval trees but
doing no serious damage. The
tent in which the meetings are
being held was blown down Tues¬
day morning, Mr. Tom Elliott
being under it at the time but
fortunately w as not hurt.

Mr- Claud Watkins, who has
been in Denver, Col., for the
past few months for his health,
returned to Ellijay last Saturday
where he will spend several
weeks with homefolks
Mr. Jay Goble, of Town Creek,

worthy and popular citizens and
has many friends who will rally
to his support. He has never

of Gilmer county. Mr. Milton
has made a good sheriff and is

Miss Sellars graduated this year.
A series of union meetings are
being held across the street from
Waters’ store conducted by
State Evangelist Head, of Atlan¬
ta, each service is being attended
by a large crowd and much good
is hoped to be accomplshed.
There will be three services
next Sunday, in the morning, af¬
ternoon and night and after this
week there will be two services
each day, morning and night.
The meeting is expected to run
several weeks
