Copperhill Defeats Ellijay 8-2
A large crowd witnessed Cop¬
perhill defeat Ellijay ball team
here last Saturday, although it
was raining throughout the
game. Baker, who tried out
with Rome in the Georgia Ala¬
bama league this season, did the
pitching for the home team.
While Barclay, who tried out
with the same team, did the
twirling for the visiting team,
but the ground was so s'dck that
neither pitcher could do much.
Copperhill has a good bunch of j
ball players and the home boys, j
who hardly ever practice any, j
couldn’t stand much show against
them, and by their errors caused(
Baker to loose his game, though
neither side did any feature play- Nel-! '
ing. 'The Ellijay boys go to
son Saturday.
