1. Any person who takes a paper regu
larly from the post office—whether directed
to his name or another’s, or whether he has
subscribed or not—is responsible for the

is made, and collect the whole amount,
whether the paper Is taken from the office or

Hale is a worthy young man. and wc wish
him a very pleasant visit ; that he may (not)

A Husband Market. — A strong minded
woman married a matt not noted for activity
of body or enetgy of character, and before
the honeymoon was over, upon awakening
one morn ng lie found his spouse in tears.
•‘Mv love,” said he. ‘what is the matter?"
“Oh, 1 have had such a dreadful dream.”
“Why, wlmt was it ?”
‘ I thought I was going out Fourth avenue,
shopping, when I saw a sign, ‘Husbands for
sale’ So many women were rushing in that
