came up last Sunday to receive treat
ment with the mad stone of Mr. Clem

girl baby Sunday morning. It is the
first governor’s child born in Georgia’s
executive mansion.

Dr. G. P. Campbell showed us two or
three of the finest peas Monday we
ever saw, measuring a foot aud one
inch in length. The variety is not
known, but the doctor thinks they are
something like the crowder. He will
develop them.
Dr. Tiguer was compelled to post
pone his regular appointment here this
week, from the 15th to the 20th, on
account of pressing engagements in
Meriwether. He will be here the
remainder of the mouth after to-mor
row, however.
Uncle Billie Miller went up to At
lanta Sunday and remained until Tues
day evening, taking in the circus, ex
position aud entire city while there.
He is back on his mail route now, re
freshed by his short tespite aud on
time as usual.
Our reading matter is necessarily
curtailed for advertisers during the
busy season, but we are sati-fied sub

Mr. McN. Moore of Mutton, Miss ,
came last week to return home w ith
his family, who have been spending
some time w ith Mrs. Moore’s father,
