Col. Billie Turpin, of the Knob, in
formed us while in the city Tuesday
that he has a Irio of Cleveland ducks,
direct from Buzzard's Hay, which he
pronounces the finest ever seen in this
country. They are large, black fellows
that do not “quack,” and the Col.
is very proud of them.
The greatest excitement and indig
nation known for a long time was cre
ated in Pike county latt week by the
cowardly killing of Sheriff Guinn, by
the notorious Delk gang ot despera
does. They were pursued by vigilant
posses, but up to last accounts had
completely eluded all efforts to capture
them.

Yesterday at the residence of the
bride’s uucle, Mr. .1 T. Hoard in Afri
ca district, Mist Lithia Stilwell was
married to Mr. T. 'V. Price, of near
McDonough. The bride is a daughter
of the late ’Squire Stilwell, and is a
young woman endowed with all the
virtues that go to make the true worn
an anu was very popular with her
friends and associates The groom is
a prosperous young farmer of Henry
county, and the young couple start life
