As Others See Us.
Too last issue of the .Jackson Argus
contains the following:
“The poli:ical pot is boiling in Henry
just enough to make it intensely inter
esting for some people. There are
probably as many aspirants for office in
our neighboring county as in any iu
the Slate, and it is said the farmers are
getting along fairly well with their
work when the candidates give them a
chance. From present indications the
next member of the Lower House from
Henry will be lion. I’aul Turner. We
dp not advocate the idea of paying with
office or otherwise, any democrat for
his services to the party. The voters
wi' 1, on June G.h, rally to the poles and
wi h singular unauimity, designate Mr.
Turner as their choice for the above,
named position. lie is a ruau of ster
ling worth, thoroughly honest and
honorable. For several years
he has been chairman of the county
democratic executive committee. He
has guarded with a jealous eye the in
terests of his party, and by past ser
vices in tho interest of dem- cracy,
shown his thorough fitness for the
place.
In the 31th senatorial district, the
rotation system makes it Henry’s time
to uame the State Senator, and
whoever they name will be geuerously
and liberally supported by the other
counties.
Mr. Titos. D. Stewart of McDonough
will be nominated without opposition.
Mr, Stewart is a man whose success in
the past indicates the financial and bus
inass ability of the man. He is
thoroughly convorsant with the coudi
tions and needs of the party and the
country at large. Aud his scrupulous
integrity will guide him in discharging
his duties in accordance wi*h the wishes
of his constituents.
Here’s luck to such a pair of meu
iu their laudable ambition to represent
their county and district in Georgia’s
General Assembly.”
