7»lr Berry’s exhibit of bis big 801 l
Cottou at the Atlanta fair has attracted
much attention, and he is highly pleas*
td with the enc mragement he ts re
ceiving Among his additional certifi
cates are the following :
Editor Weekly:—You cannot say too
much about a good thing. I bought
one hundred of Berry’s Early Big 801 l
Coi'.ou seed, and am well pleased with
it. It is as good as the best, if not the
best 1 ever saw.

Fort Valley, Ga., Oct 4, 1900.
Mr J. L. Berry—Deal Sir: I have
tried Berry’s Early Big 801 l Cotton.
I find it to be tbe largest and finest big
boil cottou I have ever used, and it is
the finest cottou 1 have ever planted.
Your friend J. C. Crow.
A Note of Warniug to the Cotton R*i
sers of the South.
Hampton, Ga., Oot. 6, 1900.
Wheu rneu tell you they have the
same vatiety of cottou, or something as
good as Berry’s Early Big 8011, don’t
you bo deceived, for they are mistaken.
Mr. Gao. W Truitt, of Troup county,
toldjuie last year at tbe State fair that
Mr. Berry had taken Lis cotton and im
proved it. He proposed to send me
two bushels of sued, and said if it din’t
make the same cotton he would give
me the seed. I planted it on as good a
plat ot laud as 1 know of in my section
an! Mr. Berry will make twice as much
to the acre on much poorer land I al
so planted a test patch of the Truitt
seed, he Russell b’g boll, the Jones
improved, and a N. S cotton, uame
urhn w», and Berry’s Early Big 8011,
ana fertilized them all alike, and Ber
ry’s Early Big 801 l boie much tbe lar
gest bolls aud mauy more of them, tbe
ttalfcs beiug weighted to the grouud. I
am tati-fied it will make one third more
per ac e thau auy variety I have ever
seen, tbe staple being much better than
any 1 uver saw. I want to say there is
no resemblance or comparison between
Berry’s Early Big 801 l and Truitt’s
cottou, and the man that buys Tiuitt’s
expecting to improve and get Berry’s
will be where Moses was when his
candle went out. I have been watch
ing after the growing cf it (Berry’s)
three years, aDd have never seen any
cotton !i ve if.* Very respectfully,
