There is a vast difference be
tween religion and Christianity
think about it. Religions are
many and varied Christianity
is in a class all by itself.
Mrs. William Smith of Fitz
gerald was a recent visitor to
her parents, Mr. and Mrs <«. A.
Presson and her husbands par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. 1. X. Smith,
of Snapping Shoals.
Snapping Shoals is still the
ideal place for summer campers
and folks are becoming more
and more wise to this fact. Now
if Mr. Ford could only know
about this little blight patch
on the map and it’s vast re
source, and could be convinced
of the wonderful advisability of
placing an auto manufacturing
plant there so that the boll
weevil distressed farmers who
need remunerative employ
ment might find it with him
and provided it might be satis
factory with the property own
ers and the people round a
bout would’nt it be splendid for
every-one and besides Mr. Ford
might make a few badly needed
dollars for himself. If I knew
him a little better I would’nt
mind telling him about it. In
our humble opinion (which is
not to be scorned) it would be
better for him and for the peo
ple than being president.
Messrs. Oscar and Jack Tur
ner, of Atlanta, visited their
mother, Mrs. Luke Turner at
Mr. O. Jones Sunday.
Mrs. Lucy Kaulerson and two
little daughters, of Lake City

fry at Snapping Shoals Satur

Through the kindly courtesy
of the Crowell thrashers we
finally got our wheat straw
threshed out last week and it is
nothing to brag about, the
wl\eat we mean.
