and reported that a girl baby was
born to Mr. and Mrs. Lee Booth
with her left hand off at the wrist.
The child is perfectly formed in
every way with this exception, is
healthy and doing well. This is
the first time that such has hap¬
pened near us.

Child Dies of Bums.
Ida, the 5 year old daughter of
Mr. S. B. Barnes died Saturday as
a result of burns received a few
days before. The little girl was
playing with matches and caught
her dress. The flames quickly en¬
veloped her and screams brought
and but not until the child had
been severely burned.
Mr. Barnes is a well kuown cit¬
izen of the county. He resides
about 5 miles west of Covington.
