Rural Route Changes.
Carrying out the policy of re¬
trenchment the Posoflice Depart¬
ment has ordered that four of the
R. F. D. routes going out from
Covington be at once discontinued
"The routes discontinued are, Nos.
1, 6, 7, 8.
The routes formerly numbered
0, 7 and 8 from the Covington
postoffice have been sent font from
Porterdale and renumbered 1, 2, 3.
This arrangement does away
with the loop work of the routes
and it is hoped by the postoffice
department to give better service
in this way.
There has really been but one
route taken off, No. 1. The routes
from Covington have been renum¬
bered 1. 2, 8, 4, 5, G.

Notice is hereby given of intention to
apply to the General Assembly of Georgia
at its next regular session for the passage
of a bill to be entitled an Act to Establish
a New Charter foe the Town of Mansfield,
located in Newton county, Ga-, to grant
certain privileges to said town—to fix and
define the corporate limits thereof—to pro
vide for ihe time and manner of the elec¬
tion of the officers Thereof, and to fix their
terms of office, and prescribe their powers
and duties—to confer upon said town the
right and authority to issue bonds for pub
lie improvements, and to provide for other
matters of municipal concern, and for other
purposes. This May 6th, 1906

G. II. Cornwell, 1,. F. Livingston and G.
F. llardy, respectlully shows:

That they desire for themselves, their
associates, successors and assigns, to be
incorporated under the name ar.d style of
THE ENTERPRISE PUBLISHING CO.

The term for which petitioners ask to be
incorporated is Twenty Years, with the
privilege of renewing at the end or that
time.
Ill
The capital stock of said corporation is
THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS, divid¬
ed into shares of TEN DOLLARS EACH.
Petitioners, however, ask the privilege of
increasing said capital stock from time to
time not exceeding in the aggregate l'EN
THOUSANDS DOLLARS.

That Thirty-Five per cent, of said capi
tal stock has already been paid in.

The object of the proposed corporation
is pecuniary gain and profit to its stock¬
holders. Petitioners propose to publish a
newspaper and to do a general printing
business.

That the stockholders shall have the
right, by a majority vote thereof, to make
by-laws, rules and regulations for the gov¬
ernment of said corporation, or to delegate
such authorit}’ to the directors

style your petitioners desire to write con
tracts and to be contracted with; to sue
and be sued; to borrow money and vo secure
the same as the Board of Directors may
desire, to have and use a common seal and
to change the same at pleasure; to pur
chase any personal property, or real es
tate and to sell and to convey the same
when it shall become necessary, or desira¬
ble, to buy or sell such property in fur¬
therance of the obiects of this corporation;
and generally, to have all the lights, privi¬
leges, powers and immunities incident to
and necessary and proper in the
and operation of this franchise, and all the
rights, privileges, powers and immunities
granted and given similar corporations
under the laws of the State of Georgia.

That there shall be no individual liabili¬
ty upon the part of any share-holder of
this corporation, except for such amount
as may be due by such share-holder as un¬
paid subscription for stock in said eorpor
tion.

The principal office and place of busi¬
ness ot the proposed corporation will be in

Death of Mrs. M. A. Collins.
On last Sunday occurred the
death of Mrs. M. A. Collins at the
residence of Mr. C. J. Norman on
Floyd Btreftt.
Mrs. Collins was the aunt of Mr.
Norman and formerly made her
home in Atlanta, but for the past
six months had lived with Mr.
Norman.
She was about 51 years old and
a member of the Baptist church.
The immediate cause of her death
was paralysis, The interment
took place Wednesday afternoon
at Westview cemetery, Rev. E. R.
Pendleton and Rev. T. J. Swanson
conducting the funeral services.
