Whereas, Official Information
has been received at this Depart¬
ment that Ed Weaver did in the
County of Newton, on the day
of March, 190b, kill and murder
Johu Avery and escaped and is
now a lugulive from justice and
Whereas, The maliguity of the
crime and the promation of justice
require that said Ed Weaver be
brought to trial for the offense with
w hich he stands charged,
I have thought proper, therefore
to issue this my Proclamation,
hereby offering a reward of ($ 400 )
One Hundred D ollars for the ap
preheusion and delivery of said Ed
Weaver with evidence sufficient to
convict, to the Sheriff of Newton
County, Georgia.
And I do moreover charge and
re< I uire offizers in this State,
Civil and Military, to be vigilaut
in endeavoring to apprehend the
said Ed Weaver in order that he
may be brought to trial for the
offense with which he stands charg
ed. Given under my hand and
the Seal of the State, this the 15th
day of May 1906.
